Christopher Chance
Founder
With over 16 years of service in emergency response across both Hawaii and Florida, Christopher Chance brings a rare blend of frontline experience, ocean expertise, and equine knowledge to the mission of healing first responders. As a career firefighter-paramedic, he has responded to some of the most critical calls imaginable—on land and at sea—while also forging a parallel path as a certified farrier through Cornell University.
A lifelong horseman and waterman, Chris believes deeply in the restorative power of nature—on the trail, in the saddle, and in the surf. This belief fuels his commitment to Saddle and Sea Foundation, where he champions Equine-Assisted Learning and Blue Mind Therapy as essential tools to help first responders reconnect, recover, and rebuild after trauma.
“First responders are trained to stay strong for others. Saddle and Sea is about creating space to find strength for ourselves.” - Christopher Chance
